The Challenge Scotiabank Inverlat needed a high performance digital video surveillance system to provide enhanced security at more than 400 banking branches located throughout Mexico. The systems had to offer efficient image streaming to enable the transmission of images from the branches to a central station and authorities over a 64 kb/s network connection. They also needed to provide a minimum of six months of storage to meet government legislation and the bank's own internal policies.
The Solution Following an exhaustive, four-phased evaluation process that involved a committee of Scotiabank Inverlat systems, communications and security representatives and more than 20 competitive offerings, the financial institution determined that the March Networks DVR system and management software best met its requirements. The 4000 Series DVR and Enterprise Management Suite software performed well in both lab and in-field tests, offering Scotiabank Inverlat high quality video images, excellent video transmission and network performance.
